Yellowstone National Park, Day 1 - Trip West

We went to Yellowstone! It was a very cool place, and we spent two days there. Hopefully you enjoy some of the pictures I took. :P

Yellowstone! This was a very comforting sign, I had been looking forward to visiting the park, even before we left! :P

These were some mountains we saw, right after we entered the park. As you can see, there is some darkish clouds. Thankfully, it didn't rain! Also, you can see quite a bit of burned trees. A lot of the area in Yellowstone has been burned.

Here's a cool tree, with a bird in it. Lol.

There were "geothermals" all over the park. This vent allowed me to get some cool fog in front of Yellowstone Lake.

This was a cool mountain view we had inside the park.

We saw a lot of tourists (very few of which spoke English) all over the park. I thought it fitting to include one picture of some of the traffic.

Here is a mudpot, complete with a little tail sprouting from the boiling slime.

This is very hot, simmering, and boiling water.

On this day, we only saw the Upper Falls. This is the water rushing towards the falls.

Here is the falls itself!
That's not all folks. :P Stay tuned for Day 2 of Yellowstone, hopefully coming tomorrow. :) One interesting tid-bit... We were planning on staying inside the park so we could be on our way bright and early... but we came too early in the season. The place we had planned on staying was closed still. We had to drive up into Montana to find a motel. Thankfully we did, though. :) That's all for now, see ya!
